I’m a Veteran. I am a patient at veterans Hospital, New Orleans, Louisiana. The hospital is about a block away from the restaurant. On occasion, the hospital food is not to my liking. When I call, I give them my name. Some of them know me some of them don’t in either case, I’m always treated with respect And they always deliver when they say they will. The food is excellent. It is always as I ordered it. As long as I live, and that restaurant is open, I will go there expecting good service good food.

I’ve always treasured this restaurant. I enjoy the slower pace and the chatter with the waitresses. Just walk in and grab a table because it’s like being in your own kitchen. The food is delicious, great coffee. You want fast then use the drive through at McDonalds.

The portions are quite large and at very reasonable price. My husband had the shrimp and green onion omelette that was our favorite, the waffles and pancakes are super yummy the home style hash brows are Some thing we had never tried before, and they are very flavorful a little spicy and very well seasoned. I had a cup of hot chocolate and it is honestly one of the best hot chocolates I've ever had.

food was delicious. Waiter was awesome and very diligent will be returning customer for sure.

I read a lot of the comments and thought , “this place would be a disappointment “, so I went to see for myself. We were kinda in a hurry and this place was on our way. Glad we stopped. The lady who served us was gracious and very accommodating, our coffee stayed full. The food was just what we were looking for, simple , hat and delicious.... And did I mention fast? I would recommend this place to anyone but not to the “KARENS” who wrote those idiotic reviews because it wasn’t “Commanders Palace “...... we’ll be back next year for the PCA and plan on eating here again.

We took the Streetcar up Canal to Dorgenois Street, just to go to Betsy’s for breakfast. We were not disappointed. The atmosphere is like an old-school dinner, nothing fancy just fun and homey. The breakfast is basic, eggs, bacon, grits with toast or pancakes. The portions are very large and the cost is super reasonable. A great experience and we will be back.

A hidden gem!!! A quaint family owned business that has been passed down over the generations with EXCELLENT food and friendly staff. Dining room and bathrooms were very clean. Tables spaced apart for social distancing and the staff all wore masks.

You will not find a more down-to-earth New Orleans restaurant than Betsy's pancake House. Everything about it just screams New Orleans: from its special holiday decorations hanging from the ceiling, to the waitresses who have worked there for decades. The service is always excellent. The food is always perfectly done. Make sure you ask for biscuits with your breakfast, which is served throughout the day. Warning: if you've never had grits before, this is the place to get it. Perfectly seasoned and delicious. When I need a dose of my hometown, Betsy's is the remedy.
